I’m starting to think that Reverant Hale is right “Confess to witchcraft and save your life.” If life is prioritized before telling the truth, then how would you live with yourself when you do lie and save your life? How would you live with the guilt of lying? Or would the fact that it saved your life be enough to justify lying to God? But perhaps God understands why you are lying, and therefore forgives you for your sin? What if you committed murder, but, under the circumstances, you had to for your life was in danger. Would that then be forgivable? Even if the law system proclaims you free of charge because you acted upon defense, would you forgive yourself? Could you forgive yourself for killing another person, even if it was justifiable? Thinking about the Crucible.
This junior year has been incredibly stressful. What with all the AP classes, PSAT coming up (which I have not studied for) and swimming, life has gotten pretty hectic. Yet Prerna sent me something today, and it made me laugh (scared at first but humor after). It was a picture of a drawn pig. Then, once you clicked on the pig, it went beserk and screamed AHHH for approximately 20 seconds. It was a great stress reliever because I know that the pig is going through the same stress as me. And if I am not allowed to yell and scream my frustrations out, well then the pig can voice my opinions. I know, it was only for a bit of a laugh, but I felt like the pig at that moment. It made my day.
Plus I really like the thing on Prerna’s page “Life because its where we’re at right now” or something like that. It is unbelievably true.
